About GamerStream:
GamerStream allows gamers to share their online gaming experience with others gamers around the world from their desktops and while gaming.
Using GamerStream gamers can now create call sessions where they can stream their gaming action as video, in real time, to their friends, while at the same time talking via VoIP and sending instant chat messages.
When not gaming, users can watch their friends gaming action from the call window, where they can also do all the expected features of a chat application, such as talk via VoIP, instant message and send files. From the call window users can also add a game (either with or without a server) to the call so that everyone in the call session can join the same game with just one click.
When gaming, the call session is transferred in to the game so that users can still see each others gaming action via video overlays. The video overlays can be customised by changing the size, position and opacity. In addition to the video overlays a user tab for each friend is show that glows green to indicate when they are talking. Other overlays include an in game clock, the GamerStream in game menu and chat messages.
Other in game features include game recording and instant replays. Game recordings can be recorded at up to 30fps and the video codec can be selected and customised (where supported). The instant replay feature allows users to never miss out on recording a classic gaming moment by buffering up to 1 minute of gaming action in memory that can be replayed as a video overlay at the press of a button. Once watched back the instant replay can then be saved into the users recordings directory as a video file.
GamerStream also provides other features such as easy game launching via the install games list, server listings for supported games and private messages that can be sent like emails.
